Carnegie Carnival Parades
The Carnegie Carnival is a fundraising project that benefits the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in historic Decatur. The Mardi-Gras style celebration was first presented in 2012 and has grown every year since its inception. The idea behind all the events is to promote art, creativity, family fun, and the revitalization of downtown Decatur Alabama. In 2014 I began filming the Carnegie Carnival parade. The parade runs through historic downtown on Bank Street and Second Avenue.
What an incredible event! The Carnegie Carnival royalty nominees raised $253,000 during this Carnival season! Congratulations to Rosie,Lady Barks a Lot and Amber N West! Congratulations to Duke, Sir Barks a Lot and Ben Floyd! Congratulations to the new king, Mark Moody, queen, Jodi Green, prince, Jack Orr and princess, Kate Bouchillon! Thanks to the promoters and everyone who came out to support this fun event. This way by far the biggest one yet! Hope to see you all in 2021! Happy Mardi Gras!
